Maytee: How did you get started in modeling? Did you always wanted to be a model, or did you stumble upon it, get discovered etc.?
Teah: Well, Modeling was never something I just wanted to do…it just happened. I started modeling and acting when I was 7 (due to my lack of social skills), and got back into it at 14. I signed with Factor Model Management (formally Elite) in Atlanta at 15, then in Chicago at 16. At 17, I quit my steady job to go to NY on a instinct with a one-way ticket; so I quit after being denied by 8 agencies already in NY. In a week I had several contract offers, signed, and booked a Levis’ campaign and a couple magazine editorials, moved into an apartment, and at 19 I signed with NEXT in Miami.
Maytee: So far what's one of your career highlights?
Teah: Hmmm….Well, I think my top 3 would be the first time I did a national/international job (L’OREAL/Soft Sheen Carson commercial), my first cover of a magazine (COMPLEX’D UK) and my first big ad (Coca Cola).
Maytee: What's the best piece of advice you can give to aspiring models?
Teah: STAY HUMBLE and have a life aside from the “modeling world”.
Maytee: What is some of your recent work?
Teah: VOSE Magazine editorial, M & O Hair Product Campaign, a couple SAG commercials
Maytee: Where can we see more of the gorgeous Teah Michelle?
Teah: Facebook: Teah Michelle or Teah Spears Twitter: Just_Teah Agency sites: NEXT Model Management-Miami, Factor Women Atlanta & Chicago.
