Maytee: How did you get started in modeling? Did you always wanted to be a model, or did you stumble upon it, get discovered etc.?
Chelsea: When I was an infant my mother used to put me in pageants and such, in which I always won 1st place miss photogenic. When I was 18, I walked into a store with a dear friend of mine, in which happened to change my life. It turned out to be a high fashion clothing store in Hollywood Florida. Immediately the designers Kayce Armstrong and Anthony Heimann from Art Of Shade took me on as their "Muse" resulting in me becoming their campaign and spokes model.
Maytee: So far what's one of your career highlight?
Chelsea: I view everything that has happened in my career as a blessing so its kind of hard to pick just one highlight, but I would have to say receiving a standing ovation and interview for my runway walk for Miami International Fashion Week.
Maytee: What's the best piece of advice you can give to aspiring models?
Chelsea: You better be ready to give it your all. This industry is not easy and not exactly what you think you see, but it is worth every moment of it. Mostly I would say, to know what market works best for your look and understand what type of model you are, and by far ALWAYS keep your heart and spirit aligned within every action you take to succeed.
Maytee: What is some of your recent work?
Chelsea: To name a few, Nylon Mexico, Fault Magazine from the UK, Clear Magazine as well as the Ones2watch.
Maytee: Where can we see more of the gorgeous Chelsea?
Chelsea: At the moment I do not have a website active. I have been working freelance, however I can be found on facebook under my name until I have time to create one. =)
