Maytee: Tell me about your background?
Alexandra: Well my background is all about the music since like forever!! My mom is a musician, so music came to my life at 3 years old. Piano, singing, learning all about the music began in that age! Later I went to music school and now I’m a student of Musicology, in Kapodistrian university of Athens. Music is my life and my life is all about music! At my first steps as singer I was at a pop-rock funky band called "Kay & The Schooldrivers" I participated in a lot of concerts and contests so I have soooo much musical experiences. Now I’m on my own and I have mostly pop-dance background with a lot of energy and dance in my shows that I do mostly at big clubs all over Greece. Also, I study hip-hop, r&b, and cabaret-jazz because the dance part in my shows is very important.
Maytee: So let’s talk a little about all the different things that you’re juggling right now. You’re a former model and singer. Tell me a little about each.
Alexandra: I’m a pop-dance, r&b singer and I realized my first official song the last summer called "mind games”, with a very popular producer. For the promotion of that song, I went to many cities all over Greece with a Dj and 2 dancers, doing shows with a lot of singing and dancing and a lot of craziness! About modeling, I’ll say that it’s mostly for fun because music comes first for me. Although, I had great experiences from modeling such as fashion shows, fashion weeks, photoshoots and more. But my opinion is that you must focus in one thing you love the most, and music is that for me.
Maytee: What are some of your new upcoming projects for 2011?
Alexandra: I have many interesting projects coming up. I can't say specific things because I’m in the middle of doing them right now, but I can say that I will have a new song soon and new ideas for amazing shows. So big things are coming from me! Ι want to make a difference in music, here in Greece and Europe. The internet has made it easy for me because music can travel all over the world!
Maytee: What is your advice to those who want to follow in your footsteps?
Alexandra: My advice for those who live for the music is ''Believe in yourself, in your power, in your talent... make others believe in you! Love, have passion and don't be afraid to risk and just go for it and you will succeed. Never give up on something you want so much."
